paint or powdercoat frame?

I used some labmetal and sanded it all off. My friend that tigs 10 hours a day suggested turning the tig up and just washing over all my mig welds with the tig with no filler rod. And was he right it mayed all my welds smooth as silk every weld looked like caulking. No filler needed to powder coat.

Re: paint or powder coat frame?

thank you for the kind words Don

agreed, if you have access to a tig it will clean up alot of the weld.
however when you do an all over like Donsrod, removing all the warping, and concave sides from the tube forming from the factory you will have to use something like a powder coat filler.
lab metal is not recommended, my experience with lab metal is that it shrinks, and out gasses, leaving ugly pinholes.
