After I built Youngster's frame as per his plan, I put my project on hold for several years. Now it's time to get back to it. I've got some questions for anyone who fit a SBC within the 20" inner width.

Thats reassuring. Is your frame 20" front to back and if not, what is the opening at mid-motor? And what are you using for motor mounts. Thanks for the pic.
Yes and thank you. Looks like the oil filter may not be an issue.Someone might find these drawings helpful.

Man, those photos are worth a thousand words. Thought I would have to rig up something different for mounts, but you nailed it. Very nice work on your car Gerry, and thanks for the info.Same 20" all the way along. If you look you can seen that the engine is clean of the normal add ons, which have been placed elsewhere. Mounts are home made.

Super pics. Gerry do you have a photo from a little farther back? I'm having a little trouble getting my bearings from the closeups. And it will work with a live axle if you just do a little thinking or searching the web

Sorry, I meant alternator. But the mount pics are good, they look very solid. Here you go. Or did you mean the alternator ones?
One of each. I used poly mount in the tube.
