Radiator for blown 454

Hi everyone,
I'm building a blown 454 with auto transmission. Anyone have similar set up? I need a new radiator and do not want any over heating issues... Any recommendations? Thank you

First I would use a separate cooler for the trans, why burden the radiator with a load
that can be controlled by using another cooler. Your engine and trans will thank you.

You might consider what kind of fins they are using ? Some
radiator fins have louvers, therefore increasing the surface
area and the turbulence .

And serpentine fins might help.

Cutting louvers increases surface area? What am I missing here?

Ok, maybe not a whole lot more surface area, but some. More turbulent air flow more heat transfer.

Thank you, it's a Gen VI big block, so I can run oil cooler as well. I'd like to find a way to run em both as long as it's "clean" look

Clean look, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder ......

If you get down to frame level and look, this is what you would see.

Both look good, however, the original point of my inquiry is about the radiator... Any recommendations on a T bucket radiator that would ensure it would stay cool?

Use the "Z-Line" heavy-duty radiator from Walker Radiator. They are expensive compared to the cheap aluminum ones available but well worth every penny when cruising through the car show without worries. We have been using them for 30+ years
